Student arrested and grabbed by the neck for buying laser pointers

The president of the Baptist University’s Student Union, Keith Fong, was arrested by plainclothes police officers on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon after the student leader purchased some laser pointers in Sham Shui Po. Some 200 people surrounded the officers as shop staffers and by-standers questioned the arrest, chanting “Gangsters” and “Let the boy go”.

Fong said he felt unwell and was taken to hospital.
