Shot pepper-spray projectile at crowds in busy streets, abused power and searched groups of citizens, ordered them to kneel down
The police were originally standing by at the junction of Sai Yeung Choi Street and Argyle Street, they then suddenly rushed towards the crowd and shot pepper-spray projectile and stopped citizens at Fife Street. Dozens of citizens were stopped and searched by the police, they were also ordered to raise their hands in the air and kneel down during their wait. Some of the detained citizens were affected by pepper-spray projectile, so that they coughed constantly and requested for first-aid. However, they were ignored by the police officers. The police evicted and pushed the journalists covering the scene, and pointed batons and pepper-sprays at them. When the reporters were obeying their orders by stepping back, they were instead warned not to push the officers. Ultimately, 43 citizens were arrested for unlawful assembly at Argyle Centre.
