Police Firing Pepper-spray Inside MTR Station
A police officer went berserk for apparently no reason and suddenly ran towards a crowd and pepper-sprayed the passengers stuck at the exit of Admiralty MTR Station as a result of the police dispersal operation in the afternoon on 12 June 2019. Before the attack, the crowd were trying to explain to the police how the MTR Station underground was swarmed with people and were demanding a halt in the violent dispersal. Some were accusing the police of the excessive force used, but there were no aggressive actions. The unforeseen pepper spray attack sent the crowd running downstairs for life, causing almost a deadly stampede.
