Police raise flags at the destination of rally before permitted time

On 5th January 2020, an Anti-parallel Trading march was held by the lawmaker Lam Cheuk Ting in Sheung Shui. At around 3p.m., Lam was standing at the destination of protest to disperse protesters peacefully. However, the police might have misunderstood his wordings. “The march had ended already. You will be arrested for unlawful assembly if you stay any longer,” a police officer intervened and shouted out at the crowd. He continued to threaten the crowds, “we are going to adopt a “unlawful action”…..to arrest you!”
