Police officers added personal decorations on their duty equipment
In the afternoon of 2nd November, reporters of The Stand News discovered that an officer from the Police Public Relations Branch (PPRB) had a badge attached on his rucksack. The badge was in the shape of a cleaver, with “National Hero, by Dai Lick (a name meaning strong in Cantonese)” written.
On the same night, reporter of Symedialab discovered that near World-Wide House at Connaught Road Central in Central, a riot police added a decoration with “Police come on, you can do it” on his uniform.
With reference to ordinance 15(c) of the Police General Order, “an officer shall not, when in uniform, wear any visible jewellery other than a wrist watch and two finger rings.” The two officers above might have violated the Police General Order.
