Over a hundred tear gas canisters fired at Kwai Chung Estate

On the 12th November, 11 p.m., numerous members of the Police Tactical Unit (PTU) again entered the Kwai Chung Estate, arresting two people. Residents demanded them to leave the estate was responded with tear gas and rubber bullets.

A resident who came down and asked the police to stop using tear gas as the eighty-year-old at home was worried to be affected, was shone with strong light by the police.

Police retreated at around 1345 hours, and re-entered the estate at 0300 hours. They fired tear gas at Sheung Kok Street, where almost no one except the press were present. At late night, 0326 hours, numerous members of the PTU searched the Kwai Chung Estate, finding a student journalist from the City University in the process, and subsequently demanded the student to shoot at a safe distance, despite the fact that his position was not close to them.

Someone recorded an off-duty police took out his gun.
