Dehumanised protesters as “cockroaches”, using offensive languages adopted during Holocaust or Rwandan genocide
A video from Stand News, which recorded the dispersal of Yuen Long sit-in demonstration, filmed frontline officers calling demonstrators “cockroaches”. “Exit C is clear, all cockroaches have disappeared”, a police officer spoke over walkie talkie.
