Police Suspected to be aiding pro-government supporters to dox arrested protesters

A protester named Kenneth raised his concern at a rally organised by healthcare professionals at Chater Garden on 26 October 2019 that the police might have been illegally disclosing protesters’ personal information to pro-government supporters. He was fully and precisely doxxed by pro-government online groups, including the names, ID numbers, phone numbers and address of not only his but also his family members, only 2 days after his arrest in a clash at Amoy Plaza in Kowloon Bay.  He and his family had since been incessantly receiving anonymous phishing calls and threats.  He suspected that it was the police who had disclosed such information to pro-government supporters and authorities in mainland China.
