Church sealed off and churchgoers searched by riot police
The global Anti-Chinazi March, initiated by netizens and collaborated by more than 60 cities around the world, was scheduled to depart from SOGO in Causeway Bay at 2:30pm today(29th) and destined for Central Government Offices. Before the march took off, however, the police have already set up cordons and garrisoned in many districts. Even churches were surrounded by members of Police Tactical Unit(PTU). Photos from a reader showed several police cars surrounded Chinese Methodist Church in Wanchai, as if a cordon had been set up. A citizen who took a break at the church said that PTU officers were stationed at the entrance at about 1:30 pm and searched people entering and leaving the church.
