CAUSED DISTURBANCE IN HIS OFFICE BY BLUE RIBBON FANATICS, POLICE ENTERED AND SEARCHED THE DISTRICT COUNCILOR’S PREMISES AND ARRESTED HIS ASSISTANT. THE VICTIM TURNED INTO THE DEFENDANT.
Supporters of the Pro-China camp demonstrated outside the office of district councilors Andy Lao Ka-Hung and Leos Lee Man-Ho for putting up notice about “no entry for blue ribbon fanatics and dogs (a term that yellow ribbons call the Police)”. The blue ribbon fanatics did not only disturb and cause damage to the office, but also attacked Lao and his girlfriend Miss Pun who is also an online influencer. However, the Police entered and searched the apartment of Lao and Miss Pun this morning. Miss Pun was then arrested and taken to the Cheung Sha Wan Division Police Station.
From the video Miss Pun uploaded, officers of Cheung Sha Wan Division Anti-traid units with a warrant arrived the apartment of Lao and Miss Pun at 6:58. The officers did not disclose the offence for searching their home but they demanded Lao to stop the Facebook live and the live video was subsequently interrupted.
Lao told The Stand News that the officers explain the reason for searching after bringing her into a room. Meanwhile, they arrested Miss Pun and yet she could not hear what offence she committed. He added that the police officers brought away a mobile phone and a dress of Miss Pun. Yet, it is certain whether the dress was the same as the one she was wearing when she was pouring bleach onto the floor while dealing with the demonstrators.
Lao also mentioned that the officers told him that Miss Pun was being brought to the Sham Shui Po Division Police Station, but in fact she was detained in the Cheung Sha Wan Division Police Station.
Supporters of Pro-China camp demonstrated in front of the office of Lao and Lee again on Monday. According to a video from the press, a staff from the office of Leos Lee Man-Ho, referring to Miss Pun, was pouring bleach and some people were splashed onto. Afterwards, Miss Pun declared that she was a cleaning ambassador and she was cleaning the floor. The demonstrators just bumped into the bleach on purpose.
Perverting the course of public justice is an indictable common law offence in Hong Kong. It means the deflection, frustration, or hindrance of the ability to administer justice in any court proceedings.
It occurs when someone:
– makes false accusations;
– provides false statements.
