ARRESTEES SUSPECTED OF BEING FRAMED TO ATTACK THE TRAIN CAPTAIN OF MTR WERE THEN CHARGED FOR UNLAWFUL ASSEMBLY

Civilians surrounded the operation control room of Po Lam MTR station, asking for an explanation for stopping services on 31st August. Two residents in the district were accused of attacking a 51-year-old off-duty train captain.

They were originally charged for assault occasioning actual bodily harm. Prosecutor then amended the charge into unlawful assembly.
