2019.10.12 10000 Marched in Tsim Sha Tsui AgainstvEmergency Law

It’s been one week since the anti-mask law was enacted. Today at 3 PM, citizens gathered at the Tsim Sha Tsui Clock Tower to march towards Sham Shui Po Sports Ground. They set up barricades to stall police and vandalised government offices and pro-China chain stores. Riot police was deployed but no clashes were seen. At last, protestors disassembled in Cheung Sha Wan at around 6 PM and said “see you tomorrow” to one another to remind everyone of the 18-district protest on the next day.


【15:15】Citizens began marching near the Clock Tower. Many even walked on vehicle lanes of Nathan Road.


【15:45】Police in Tsim Sha Tsui police station raised the blue flag, warning the march as potential breaching of the law, and to demand the  crowd to disperse.


【16:03】The black flag warning the use of tear gas was seen supported by 2 road safety cones.


【16:25】Riot police walked out of the police station to push towards Tsim Sha Tsui.


【16:56】A Best Mart 360 in Cheung Sha Tsui was vandalised. The words “damn Fujian triads” were graffitied on.


【17:00】Arrived  att Tsim Sha Tsui Sports Ground, protestors parted ways with one another.



【17:20】Some continued on marching towards Lai Chi Kok MTR station.

【17:35】Protestors finally dispersed in Mei Foo.
