2019.08.31 “Prayers For HK Sinners” Christian Rally Met with Police Water Cannon
In response to the Civil Human Rights Front (CHRF) 831 Rally, citizens gathered at Southorn Playground in Wan Chai for the “Prayers for HK Sinners” rally, against the showering weather to express their views.

As a response to the failed court appeal against police banning of 831 rally hosted by CHRF, citizens of Hong Kong hosted a Christian rally “Prayers for HK Sinners” at Wan Chai Southorn Playground. *
Prior to the rally, MTR shut down Sai Ying Pun Station at 13:45; in co-operation with police strategies, MTR had shut down 5 of their major service lines later that night (Tsuen Wan, Kwun Tong, Island, South Island, TKO lines.)
Police force used water cannons to clear out the crowd from the afternoon at Admiralty, shooting blue liquid at protesters and press.
Protesters later set up an infernal road block at Wan Chai, causing strong smoke and small explosions. Firefighters arrived the scene and extinguished the fire.
